| | Model of the car: | Montero Limited | | | General comments: | LOVE THE MONTERO - my only hesitation is the paint chipping and whether Mitsu | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | I'm having touble with the paint. The rocker panels - the exterior painted area along the floor when either front door is open. The paint started chipping within a month or so of purchase; it's getting bad. I don't wear spike heels; have never had this problem with any other car - - it's obviously a manufacturing defect, in my humble opinion. Wondering whether anyone else is having the same problem? | | | Previous car: | Had a 96 Montero, traded it on on a Blazer - big mistake! Hated it and now I'm back. Looked at Tahoes, Expeditions, minivans **YUK**, Jeeps, etc...the Montero had em all beat. |
