| | Model of the car: | Montero | | | General comments: | Paid $31k. A lot of vehicle for the money. We've had it for just over a year and love it! Great vehicle for the family. My wife previously owned a BMW coupe, but is now a Montero convert. The fold-down back seats are very convenient. Plenty of room for a family of 4 to load up and go on vacation. Strong engine, great 4WD system, comfortable, well-built, and safe. We've had no problems after 20,000 miles. So far it's been a 5 star vehicle. | | | What things have gone wrong with the car: | Poor gas mileage when compared to my Toyota 2WD pickup; but hey, I guess it's not that bad for a SUV | | | Previous car: | Tested the Montero Sport and 4Runner - there's no comparison, the Montero is more refined than the sport and bigger, more powerful, and cheaper than the 4Runner (better 4WD system too) |
